Jerry Springer
Tabloid talk show icon Jerry Springer will make his West End stage debut in London’s Chicago. Springer will star as Billy Flynn in the hit musical at the Cambridge Theatre beginning on June 1. He will play the part for a six-week engagement, ending on July 11.

The London-born, New York City-raised Springer is known throughout the world for his television show The Jerry Springer Show, which is taped in the city of Chicago. In addition to being a talk show host, Springer’s eclectic career includes being a political pundit, lawyer, award-winning newscaster, country recording artist and the mayor of Cincinnati. From 2006-2008 he hosted two seasons of America’s Got Talent. He has also showed off his fancy footwork on TV’s Dancing with Stars. He is a regular speaker at college campuses across the U.S. including Havard, Yale and Georgetown and Oxford. His autobiography, Ringmaster, was published in 1998.

The award-winning musical Jerry Springer: The Opera (based on Springer and his television shows) played at the Cambridge Theatre just prior to Chicago opening there.

Chicago currently stars Aoife Mulholland as Roxie Hart, Tiffany Graves as Velma Kelly, Ian Kelsey as Billy Flynn, Victor McGuire as Amos Hart and Brenda Edwards as Mama Morton.
