The sensation that is Alan Bennett's The History Boys has made it to celluloid. The film premiered at the Odeon Leicester Square on 2 October with the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall in attendance in aid of the youth charity The Prince’s Trust. The stage version of The History Boys was a sensation at the National and on Broadway (and is heading to the West End later this year). This marks director Nicholas Hytner’s fourth feature film and his second collaboration with scribe Bennett. The film stars Richard Griffiths, Frances de la Tour, Stephen Campbell Moore, Samuel Barnett, Dominic Cooper, James Corden, Jamie Parker, Russell Tovey, Samuel Anderson, Sacha Dhawan, Andrew Knott and Clive Merrison. The film opens nationally on 13 October.
