The spotlight at Cabaret turned on Kim Medcalf and Honor Blackman this week, when the two glamorous actresses stepped into the roles of Sally Bowles and Fraulein Schneider (respectively) at the West End’s Lyric Theatre. They replaced the outgoing Anna Maxwell Martin and Olivier Award winner Sheila Hancock. Director Rufus Norris stopped by the dressing rooms to wish the two ladies well. While they might be his new stars, they look very much like old chums to us, and the only jingle jangle sound to be heard all night was that of clinking champagne glasses. Have a look for yourself, and come to the Cabaret at the Lyric Theatre!
