BENT
A gay man discovers the true meaning of love and self-acceptance against almost impossible odds.
Bent follows a personal journey from the hedonistic cabarets and clubs of 1930s Berlin to the inhuman excesses of a totalitarian regime, as a gay man discovers the true meaning of love and self-acceptance against almost impossible odds. A transcendent love story of two men facing an unknown future, Bent has touched a universal nerve through the years in the more than 50 countries that it has been seen in.
Recent events throughout the world have made issues of identity and humanity of primary concern. Bent addresses many of these issues with passion and humour. This is a play that speaks of the freedom to be who we are and love who we want.
