GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS
David Mamet's play about a group of real estate agents competing under pressure comes to the West End.
Glengarry Glen Ross centers on a competitive group of real estate salesmen who've gotten more than a little desperate during the reign of Reaganomics. A new car is offered to the salesman who sells the most, but things become cutthroat as new employees are brought in, and everyone fights to keep their jobs.
The play won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, had a successful run at Broadway's John Golden Theatre during the 1984-1985 season and was made into an acclaimed 1992 film. It was revived on Broadway in 2005, starring Alan Alda and Liev Schreiber, and won the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.
