 Scarlett Strallen in Mary Poppins

Scarlett Strallen is returning to Mary Poppins. The actress, who was London’s second Mary Poppins when she took over the from Laura Michelle Kelly in October 2005, is returning to the role at the Prince Edward Theatre. Strallen will replace current star Lisa O’Hare on 21 May.
Prior to her first stint in Mary Poppins, Strallen played Josephine in the New Shakespeare Company's production of HMS Pinafore at Regent's Park Open Air Theatre. Other credits include Truly Scrumptious in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and roles in the original casts of Mamma Mia!, The Witches of Eastwick and Peggy Sue Got Married, Aspects of Love, Annie Get Your Gun, Cymbeline and Twelfth Night. She appeared in No Sweat! for the BBC and the film Beyond the Sea, directed by Kevin Spacey.
[AD]Current star O’Hare is leaving the musical at the end of her contract to play Eliza Doolittle in the new American tour of Cameron Mackintosh’s production of My Fair Lady, originally seen at the National Theatre. Gavin Creel will remain with the show, starring as Bert, until 2 November.
