Any Dream Will Do which, as
previously reported, is currently being used to cast the forthcoming London production of
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, has revealed the 12 finalists vying for the title role.
They include several performers who are already in the business. Among the career highlights of 28-year-old Daniel Boys are appearing in a pantomime version of Peter Pan and playing Tony in West Side Story. Craig Chalmers is a 25-year-old vocalist and entertainer from Edinburgh, and Lee Mead is a 25-year-old singer/actor from Southend-on-Sea.
Also in the competition are: Antony Hansen, a 17-year-old student from Abingdon, Oxfordshire, who has already performed “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Any Dream will Do” at the Royal Albert Hall; Ben Ellis, an 18-year-old student from Scarborough; Chris Barton, a 20-year-old student from Ormkirk; Chris Crosby, an 18-year-old from Nottingham who is currently a clothes shop sales assistant; Johndeep More, a 23-year-old office administrator from Birmingham; Keith Jack, a 19-year-old supermarket customer assistant from Midlothian; Lewis Bradley, a 17-year-old student from Middlesbrough; Rob McVeigh, a 23-year-old builder from Rotherham; and Seamus Cullen, a 35-year-old sales and marketing person from London
To coincide with the search for a Joseph, the TV show is also offering a school choir of children aged 5-11 the opportunity to compete for the chance to perform live on the final show of
Any Dream Will Do, and also appear in the West End for a special Children in Need performance of the show.
