Emma Williams, who took on the Madonna role in the short-lived London musical Desperately Seeking Susan, has signed on to the forthcoming Zorro -The Musical, joining previously announced star Matt Rawle (Evita, Baghdad Wedding). Williams will play Luisa in the Christopher Renshaw-directed production due in the West End this summer, with music by the Gipsy Kings.
Also named to the cast are Adam Levy, who played Paris in the Peter Stein-directed Troilus and Cressida nearly two years ago, and the California-based performer Lesli Margherita.

Dancer-choreographer Adam Cooper, the onetime Swan Lake star who was part of an earlier tour of this same show, is no longer connected to the production. Opening night remains July 15 at the Garrick Theatre for the show, which has an unusual producer in Isabel Allende, the Chilean author that wrote the 2005 best-seller Zorro: the Novel, telling how the young Diego de la Vega became Zorro.
