Jimmy Osmond will make his West End debut in London's Grease in early 2009. Osmond will assume the role of Teen Angel for a limited run at the Piccadilly Theatre beginning on January 19.
"It has been a lifelong dream of mine to play in the West End and what better show than Grease. It is fast, fun, energetic and full of talent and I am just thrilled to be playing Teen Angel," Osmond said of his debut role. Osmond and his famous family, who have received stars on Hollywood's storied Walk of Fame and performed for the Royal Family, recently completed a tour of Britian. Osmond's recent albums include Keep the First Burnin' and Jimmy Osmond's American Jukebox show.
The current production of Grease, starring Nicola Brazil and Grease is the Word winner Danny Bayne, opened on August 7, 2007. Osmond is scheduled to stay with the show through March 14.
