Wicked star Kerry Ellis will celebrate the British songbook with a series of intimate concerts. The evening, billed as Kerry Ellis Celebrates the Great British Song Book, will take place on June 20 & 21 at the Shaw Theatre.
Ellis most recently played Elphaba in both the West End and Broadway productions of Wicked. She made her first West End appearance understudying Martine McCutcheon in My Fair Lady. She went on to originate the role of Meat in We Will Rock You and has also been seen as Fantine in Les Miserables, Ellen in Miss Saigon, Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and Svetlana in the Chess concert at Royal Albert Hall. In 2008, she released her debut recording, Wicked in Rock, produced by Queen guitarist Brian May....
